Cory Wong: Winter Tour Case Study
J.G. Design provided system design and gear rental for Cory Wong’s 2023 Winter Tour.
We worked together with LD “Ryan Bress” to build a roadworthy production that needed to fit a few requirements; Size, footprint, and budget.
We built a streamlined, flexible tour package that could fit in a 8’ x12’ trailer, yet fill a 40’ wide stage. Having 11 members in the band limited the footprint of Ryan’s design. We had to provide flexible options that would be out of the way while still delivering the designs full impact.
We designed this system to have balanced electrical loads, labeled breakers, and a fully prepped cable package that can be deployed in minutes, all with safety in mind. This system also had flexible options for Data outputs, allowing the system to adapt to each venue.

Drawings are submitted and the goal of the design is discussed.
System Design
Once a design is finalized, we then build a power and data system, streamlined for fast load in and adaptability to different stage sizes. Pre-loomed cables and clearly labeled Fixture ID’s are just part of a custom designed package, aimed at reducing labor times and failure points.
